Police in Limassol arrested two 37-year-old men on Monday in connection with a case of theft of tobacco products.
According to reports, on Monday afternoon a salesman for a tobacco company reported to police that around €25,000 worth of tobacco products were missing from the stock a 37-year-old employee was supposed to be in possession of.
The 37-year-old was called to the Limassol CID offices where he was questioned. He allegedly admitted to the charges and told officers that he sold the tobacco products to a 37-year-old kiosk owner for just over €11,000 without issuing an invoice.
Police arrested both the kiosk owner and the tobacco company employee. Both men are expected to be charged with theft and the purchase of stolen goods, police said.
