Where do you live? (Doesn’t have to be a detailed account of exactly where you live!)
I Live in LA (Hollywood to be specific) I have two roommates, both work in the industry.
Best childhood memory?
Sunday at my grandma’s house. Sounds simple, but those days were always the highlight of my childhood. Of course I couldn’t discard all the first time moments of my childhood. As for example that first kiss when you are young and everything seems so important, the first movie, the first music concert…
Most frequented restaurant and absolute favourite dish?
Hm… that’s hard. I love food. I don’t eat to survive. I’m of those who really take time to enjoy their food.
I’d say chicken / beef teriyaki, but It really just depends. I’m a total Joe (from Friends-TV show) I love food! And if we have to share we better buy big portions! Haha I guess growing up my dad taught me to always take care of my food-health. And here in LA its all about eating healthy.
What did you have for breakfast?
I usually change my breakfast every 2 days. Might be eggs with orange juice and 30 minutes later a nice iced coffee with cinnamon, or cereals with milk and fruits on the side. I can’t eat much when I wake up. I’m more of a night person.
Would you class yourself as a day or night person? What’s your idea of the perfect night/day out?
I’d say I’m a night person. I was always up late and just to clear that has nothing to do with nightlife. I like the quiet of the night. Calms me down, less distraction, no phone calls… I get to focus and be more productive, connect with myself, sit on the balcony with my music on the background. I just never sleep for more than 6 hours usually.
Best book ever read?
Can a play count as a book? Not that I don’t like books but as an actor I just like the freedom of imagination that comes from a play. The author gives you everything you need, but there is enough space as well for you to paint the background.
I’d say Long Day’s Journey into Night by Eugene O’Neil. The dynamic of that family as the author portrays it… so powerful and real.
The Little Prince by Antoine De Saint-Exupery is my favourite book and it will always have a special place in my heart.
Favourite film of all time?
I was really young when I watched Meet Joe Black for the first time, a movie by Martin Brest with Anthony Hopkins (one of my favorite actors), Brad Pitt, Claire Forlani etc. There is a mystery for the most part of the film that keeps the suspense for what is coming next. The concept of Death, which takes the form of a young man and learns everything about life on earth, sounds awesome to me. Makes you think what’s possible and made me realize that we only live once.
What’s your dream trip?
After traveling a lot, I would say my dream trip at this specific moment and after three years in the chaotic LA, is a week to meditate and get centered somewhere pretty isolated followed with a week by the ocean, Hawaii or something tropical with my best friends and lots of fun.
What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
Matt Simons (Catch and Release), Ed Sheeran (Thinking Out Loud), Kanye West (Only One), Thirty Seconds to Mars (City of Angels)…
What is always in your fridge?
Ice cream. My grandma used to offer me ice cream every time I was at her place. Of course I don’t eat ice cream everyday having it available is all it matters.
Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
A house close to the city, but with ocean view. Somewhere on Sunset Blvd. (towards Malibu), at the edge of a cliff. Full windows ocean view natural light… able to see the stars during nighttime.
If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
The thought of it is mind blowing right now. Would love to go out with many people. Marlon Brando, who’s work I love and admire. Meryl Streep, Michael Jackson, Robin Williams, … its so hard to pick one. Marilyn Monroe! I think that could be an interesting choice. Her whole transformation, and the idea of being an orphan without actually being an orphan, the legend she created, suddenly she was an icon. I find it very fascinating, and would love to see her prospective in life.
If the world is ending in 24 hours what would you do?
Most possibly catch a flight back home to see the people I so missed and cant always express it. But as some of them are already able to understand, the choice to follow your dreams no matter how lovely and nice it sounds is not always easy. Listen to my favorite music on the way, and smile for the life I got to live.
What is your greatest fear?
That I might never get to be a brother for my sisters, because of the distance.
Tell me a joke…
Knock, Knock… “Who’s there?” “Orange” “Orange who?” “The new Black”
