Commerce, Tourism and Energy Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis leaves on Sunday for a series of meetings in London, Edinburgh and Brussels, it was announced on Sunday.
Lakkotrypis will discuss with representatives of airlines and tour operators their planning for Cyprus for 2017 in terms of tourism which recorded record levels in 2016.
According to an official announcement, during his visit to the UK, Lakkotrypis will also lead a business mission co-organized by the ministry and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce, in order to participate in the Business Forum Cyprus-United Kingdom, which this year includes two separate meetings in London and Edinburgh.
Specifically, it added, on Tuesday afternoon Lakkotrypis will be the main speaker at the London conference, and will present participants with developments in the Cyprus economy and the various opportunities available on the island for investment and business partnerships.
On Wednesday, he will travel Wednesday to Edinburgh, to make a similar presentation to businessmen on Thursday morning.
In the afternoon of the same day he will depart for Brussels, where on Friday he will take part in the work of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
Lakkotrypis will return to Cyprus late Friday night.
