For the 6th consecutive year, Dro.Me.A Racing – along with the Klirou Community Council – are organising the PETROLINA Klirou Atovrisi Challenge, set to entice sports lovers from across the island on April 23rd 2017, starting and finishing at the central Klirou Village Square.
The race aims to promote the importance of recreational sports for all ages, while also aiding a very worthy cause, as participants will have the opportunity to make donations in support of Europa Donna.

- 10:00 am: 12 km cycling race (€10 participation fee)
- 10:05 am: Children’s 400 metre road race (free)

Finishers’ medals will be handed out to all participants, along with prizes for the first six men and women to complete the 12-km running race, and the first three men and women to reach the finish line in the 4-km running race and 4-km & 12-km bike rides. Winners in the other age group categories will not receive medals, with money collected to be donated to Europa Donna, in support of its very important work.
Head of Communication of Dro.Me.A Racing, Makis Kounnides, explains: “The 6th PETROLINA Klirou Atovrisi Challenge presents the perfect opportunity for a countryside excursion for the whole family, with races geared to all ages. Essentially a big sporting celebration, it’s dedicated to Europa Donna, an association that tirelessly works to raise awareness about breast cancer.”
Throughout the duration of the upcoming event, the Klirou Community Council will offer a wide array of treats to all participants.
Major sponsor of the event is Petrolina (Holdings) Public. The event is supported by KOA and Europa Donna. Diachronic sponsor is Webarts. The event is taking place under the auspices of KOEAS and supported by Cablenet, a main sponsor of Dro.Μe.Α Racing for 2017. Photo credits to Celine
