The Mall of Cyprus and KEANITA recently celebrated the World Theatre Day, inviting primary school students to attend a series of exciting performances for children, presented by local theatre groups, within the framework of a specially organised ‘Theatre Week’. The performances, geared towards promoting the art of theatre among young students, took place between 27 and 31 March, in a specially designed space within the mall.
During the ‘Theatre Week’, The Little Worry People and Drama Studio presented their educational play “Shall I tell you a secret?”, while the Maskarini Theatre staged the classic “Wizard of Oz”. The performances transmitted important messages to the young ones, who were given the chance to experience live art – something which aids the intellectual development of every individual.
World Theatre Day was launched in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute and is celebrated annually, reminding everyone about the important contribution of art within every society. On occasion of the World Theatre Day, The Mall of Cyprus alongside KEANITA proved their ongoing active contribution to the arts and culture for children.
