Boy, 7, critical after being hit by car

A boy aged seven and a half was injured after he was hit by a car on Thursday in Larnaca and is currently hospitalised in critical condition.

According to police, a 29-year-old man from Ormidia, who was driving on Famagusta avenue in Oroklini hit the boy at around 7pm. The incident is under investigation by the police.

The child, who was walking on the left-hand side of the road was attempting to cross when he was hit.  He was taken to  Larnaca general hospital where it was established that he had suffered both internal and external injuries. The child, who is in critical condition, was later transferred to the Makarios hospital in Nicosia.
