A 55-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday after causing a road accident in Limassol while driving drunk. He was almost five times over the limit.
Police said the accident occurred at around 3.40am on Gladstone street, when the 55-year-old slammed his car into the back of another vehicle that had stopped at traffic lights.
The cars were damaged, but no one was injured, police said.
The final breathalyser test given to the 55-year-old found an alcohol level of 106 microgrammes in his system. The legal limit is 22mg.
