Where do you live?
In the suburbs of Nicosia with my mother and my father. And a bunch of furry guests.
Best childhood memory?
My dad yelling that instead of making dreams of becoming an actor I should plan on getting a ‘proper’ job. Then trying to convince me that whatever I do in my life I should do things that make me feel happy and free.
Most frequented restaurant and absolute favourite dish? What food would you really turn your nose up to?
Zaatar Food & Arts. A little gem hidden in the old part of Nicosia. Every time I visit I go for Shish Tawouk (most delicious juicy pieces of chicken I’ve ever tasted in my life) and a fresh Tabbouli or Fattous salad. I could never say no to food. Unless it’s lamb. It gives me allergies.
What did you have for breakfast?
A large bowl of milk and cereal
Would you class yourself as a day or night person? What’s your idea of the perfect night/day out?
Sometimes it feels as if the frequency of the morning light is scrambling my thoughts. In the evening, however, the real me comes alive.
A perfect day: Field trips with my friends to discover the hidden beauties of our island (vil-lages, nature trails, parks and forests).
A perfect night: Friends gathering together to watch the most unexpectedly bizarre movies you can imagine.
Best book ever read?
The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I was so absorbed reading page after page that I didn’t notice I was burning to a crisp while getting a tan at the beach.
Favourite film of all time?
Makes way for the inner fanboy screaming out loud STAR WARS! I’m a sci-fi geek! But if I had to choose one movie out of the whole saga, that would be Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Can’t have enough of the “I love you/I know” scene.
Favourite holiday destination? What’s your dream trip?
I love beautiful Brighton. Such a theatrical city in character. And the warmest part of Eng-land.
A dream trip would definitely find me on the other side of the planet. Either Tokyo or New York.
What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
All the latest pop hits on the radio. Songs from musicals and Disney movies on CDs.
What is always in your fridge?
Fruit and vegetables. And chocolate. Lots of chocolate!
Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
We’re in Cyprus. You can have a house in the outskirts of a city and feel as if you’re away in a quiet village. A modern house, a smart sound system for music in all areas, a beautiful gar-den with a swimming pool and a home-theatre room for watching movies and playing videogames.
If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
David Lynch, so that I can ask him all the questions I have after watching Mulholland Drive, Inland Empire and Twin Peaks (and hopefully get some answers that make sense).
If the world is ending in 24 hours what would you do?
Reserve the seat with the best view of the disaster and take a selfie.
What is your greatest fear?
Life without Game of Thrones.
Tell me a joke…
Pick up your phone and say “Ok Google, tell me a joke”. Try it!
