There are two very different musical performances set for tomorrow to flirt with your musical ear.
The first will be raising some Cuban Latin sounds with the Yemaya Son band live at the Mason Bar in Limassol. The quartet led by vocalist Pedro Son Caliente, interprets a blend of salsa, rumba and Afro-Cuban rythms.
Together with Caliente from Cuba, Alex Rodriguez from Colombia will be on keys and vocals, Alejandro Gonzalez from Cuba will be joining them on percussion and vocals, while Rodrigo Caceres from Chile will bring in the bass and also lend his vocals to the ensemble.
All you have to do is bring your Latin dancing hips along and the energetic atmosphere and uplifting sounds will take care of the rest.
If you prefer music closer to home, then opt for Ammos Beach Bar in Larnaca where Cypriot singer and songwriter Michalis Hadjiyiannis will be making waves.
Hadjiyiannis is considered by many to be the most successful Greek artist of the last decade. He is the winner of numerous musical awards, including Best Pop Album, Best Song of the Year and Album of the Year at the Arion Awards 2007, and Best Male Composer of the Year at the Status Awards 2007.
The 39-year-old singer has not just composed music for his own albums, but also for a number of other Greek singers, including Natassa Theodorisiou, Eleni Peta, Georgos Dalaras and Eleftheria Arvanitaki.
