Two Greek Cypriots were questioned by the authorities in the Turkish-held part of Nicosia on Friday night after being seen taking pictures at a peace event, it was reported in the north.
According to the reports, the two Greek Cypriots were attending an event organised by Turkish Cypriot party YKP (New Cyprus Party) for the last nine years at the Old Market (Bandubulya) in protest of the Turkish invasion.
The duo were spotted taking pictures with their cameras and were taken to the police station for questioning over the content of the photographs.
They were allegedly taking pictures of guard posts, but were released about an hour later when no evidence of such photos was found.
Police also searched the bag of another Greek Cypriot, it was reported in the north.
