Where do you live?
Me, my husband and 2 kids live in Tala, Paphos.
Best childhood memory?
Sitting on my dad’s shoulders and looking at the animals at the zoo.
Most frequented restaurant and absolute favourite dish?
Well, now it is our Blue Diamond, of course. And my absolute favourite dish is called ‘Duck a L’Orange’ – roasted duck under a rather different orange and chocolate sauce.
What did you have for breakfast?
Fried egg, cured salmon and tea
Would you class yourself as a day or night person?
Day person, although with the restaurant and having entertainment like The Firebirds, I have also to be a night person!
What is your favourite night out?
New Year’s Eve.
Best book ever read?
The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. It is a fascinating story how an accident and an impulsive decision can change one’s life so thoroughly. It is about the loss and friendship, secrets and truth.
Favourite film of all time?
Gilda. It is so old style Hollywood.
Best holiday ever taken?
We went to Provence with our friends and relatives a few years ago and stayed at a villa on the cliff right by the sea. I love France, French food. And the best travel is when you can share it with the people you love and enjoy good company.
What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
Radio sometimes, but usually nothing at all; I like to plan things I need to do during the day while driving and music distracts me.
What is always in your fridge?
Steamed rice, eggs, milk, vegetables.
Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
Rural retreat – ideally up the hills with sea view. Actually, we live in a two-storey house which is close to that dream, except that we would prefer to live in a bungalow
If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
Albert Einstein. He was so clever and at the same time with a great sense of humour.
If the world is ending in 24 hours what would you do.
Gather my family closely around me
What is your greatest fear?
Losing my loved ones.
Tell me a joke
Q: What did one plate say to the other plate? A: Lunch is on me!
