The Vespa Club Limassol will celebrate its first five years on Saturday with the start of an exhibition at Beat Bazaar that go on a motorbike ride through the past.
The two-day exhibition will showcase 18 scooters as they may be used according to different lifestyles. The premise of this concept is to show that shooters can be used by anyone for any event or occasion; they will be displayed at a camping and picnic site or as part of a rally.
Club chairman, Theo Timmis said the exhibition chart the history of the Vespa, from how it began to how it has been incorporated into our daily life. “You will feel like you have gone back to the past when you enter the main exhibition hall,” Timmis said.
Apart from actual Vespas, the exhibition will also display a variety of Cypriot Vespa advertisements and articles from as far back as the 50s, as well as a number of international photos, videos and advertisements that concern the scooter.
The club will also be selling limited edition memorabilia to celebrate its five-year mark.
