Police are investigating three burglaries, two in Paphos and one in Larnaca, that took place on Saturday evening.
In Oroklini in Larnaca, a gun, electronic devices including a TV and a silver bracelet worth in total 3,000 euros, were stolen from the home of a British resident. The homeowner said the burglary occurred between the hours of 5.45pm and 10pm when he was absent from the house.
In Paphos, a 57-year-old homeowner from Goudi, said his home was broken into around 7.30pm while he was out and stole a number of things. Police found that the perpetrators had entered through the front door after breaking the lock.
A second burglary in Paphos, in the village of Konia, was reported around 9pm on Saturday. The thieves had taken a safe containing 7,000 euros as well as a number of jewellery items. Police who went to the scene did not find evidence of how the burglars entered the home.
