Surely history shows us that the military intervention has never wiped out a nation or a religion.
All we have to do is look at Israel, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria, etc.
Nationalism and dogma have shown us how easy it is to kill once we have acquired the power.
All religions and nations endure the killing. The killing just provokes more killing.
Hitler believed you could get rid of the Jews he was wrong.
America believed they could win the war in Vietnam they were wrong.
There are dozens of other very similar examples of military action that has bankrupted both the losers and the winners and devastated the youth of its countries.
The Sunni believed they could wipe out the Shi’ite and they outnumber them 9 to 1.
They were wrong.
Wahhabis and Isis believed they could occupy Iraq and Syria and even Europe, they were wrong. This is history speaking.
If anybody believes they could wipe out the Kurds history will show they will be wrong and the same applies to the Sunni militants.
History has shown that one solution is to find a place for these people to live in.
Every country has its own police force and up to a point it has limited lawbreakers.
In a similar way laws can be made for nations all over the world and all the military in the world can police the nations as one power, as we each police our own countries.
The United Nations, the Security Council, NATO and other world governing bodies have failed to do exactly this. It seems that it will only work if every country in the world contributes in making the universal laws and a universal military to keep the peace.
Unfortunately this will never happen because humanity does not have the wisdom to govern a planet. Each nationality and each religion believes that they are more important than the other one. Therefore each of us builds up a powerful military and attacks the others.
It has happened again and again through all of our recorded history and each time a different nation gets the power and does most of the killing.
The Prophet Muhammad died in 632 A.D. and since then the Sunni have been fighting the Shi’ites. Isis is mainly Sunni and their opponents are mainly Shi’ites.
The Kurds have been trying to have a home for themselves and have had conflict with the Turks for over 30 years now because of this.
The Kurds have conquered a number of towns which were occupied by Isis. One of these is Afrin and the Turkish military have decided to wipe them out.
Doesn’t military intelligence look at similar situations in our history?
The Kurds in Afrin can either hand over the town to the Assad military or fight the Turkish invasion.
The Turkish military have said that they will achieve their objective in one week.
Turkey has put some of its experienced military chiefs and pilots in jails. The Kurds are fighting for their lives and they have shown what a significant force they are.
If they decide to fight they will take on the Army in their own terms. A full frontal attack against the military hardware that Turkey has put into the battlefield surely is not what they are thinking. They will probably disappear as a conventional army and use attack and retreat tactics so they will not be a sitting target for fighter jets.
The Turkish army will be most vulnerable after it has taken a town or two and is trying to defend them day and night.
The Kurds know that time is on their side and if it is a prolonged engagement it will affect severely the economy of Turkey.
I don’t think Saudi Arabia is dishing out the money like it used to.
This could be a very deadly invasion for both sides and many mothers will lose their children again. Three cheers for humanity and the leaders we choose.
