Larnaca police investigate car fire

Authorities were investigating on Wednesday after a car was destroyed in a fire that broke out outside an apartment building in Larnaca.

The fire started a few minutes after 2am on Wednesday on two cars which were parked outside the apartment building at Faneromeni avenue.

Fire fighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire, however one of the cars was destroyed, while the second suffered extensive damage.

A third vehicle was also slightly damaged, while the fire affected the outside walls of the building, police said.

Police and the department of electrical and mechanical services in collaboration with the fire service are investigating the causes of the fire.
