A fire broke out in a parked car in Paphos early on Tuesday, causing damage to the front and engine, police said.

The car belongs to a 31-year-old man.

The fire, reported at around 1.15am, was extinguished by the fire brigade.

Authorities cordoned off the area for further investigations later in the morning to determine the cause.

The Paphos police are investigating the incident.
