Beirut Boat Show May 20 to 24

Beirut promises one long party when it’s tenth annual show gets underway in the capital on May 20.

Organisers say they are “setting up a one-of-a-kind show over the course of five days, blending supreme luxury with exhilarating escapades”

They add that the event will feature “exquisite superyacht display and will host some of the most renowned international yachting companies, superyacht builders and designers, nautical suppliers, brokerage houses and refit shipyards.”

Not content with showing off the best boats, the show is extending its luxury motif to include couture fashion, refined jewellery, and extravagant automobiles. A high-fashion catwalk, as well as a sophisticated jewellery and luxury car display, will be among the major attractions.

For those seeking an action-packed experience, Beirut Boat 2017 will also debut a series of marine activities featuring a variety of thrilling water sports, including Water Skiing, Wind Surfing, Kiteboarding, Parasailing, Flyboarding, among others.

London On-WaterJune 8 to 11

If you cannot make it to Bermuda for the America’s Cup race in June, a trip to London may be the next best choice.

As part of the third annual London On-Water show at St Katherine Docks, a massive screen will be positioned on Marble Quay, next to the famous Dicken’s Inn, showing the races live.

The event runs from June 8 to 11, with some of the best yachts in the world being demonstrated — plus a variety off the most expensive cars.

Best leave the credit card at home!

Incidentally, those of you who are thinking June 8 rings a bell, you are right. It is the day of the UK elections which may, or may not, give you another reason to head to London.
