Bar Review: Seven Lounge Bar, Nicosia

Range of drink and food should suit all tastes

By Alexia Papakyriakou

Beer and cocktail lovers need look no further for the perfect place for a night out than Seven Lounge Bar in Nicosia. Seven has a wide selection of draught and bottled beer and fans will be able to try Belgian specialty beer which cannot be found in many places. A wide range of fruity and sugary cocktails is also available like strawberry flavored Margaritas and Tropical Martinis.
Situated in the heart of the city centre, Seven takes you away to summery and modern scenery with indoor and outdoor seating and comfortable garden couches. The chill out music along with tasty cocktails takes away the stress of a long day at work.
When it comes to ordering, except from the many alcoholic beverages, Seven offers food for every taste, with a wide-ranging international cuisine. I chose a juicy pork chop served with potatoes and salad which turned out to be tasty and more than enough. What impressed me were the different options on the menu. Groups of people with different tastes in food and drink can definitely find many different treats to enjoy.
According to one of the bar’s co-founders, Marios Kyprianou, they managed to give the costumers the feeling of a real lounge with relaxing music and a chilled out atmosphere.
Seven opens daily from 9am to 2am. The bar’s co-founders are planning to create new events which will begin on June 11. Every Tuesday customers will have the chance to enjoy Spanish nights with Spanish food buffets and drinks. The lunch-time menu, which is selection of burgers, sandwiches, pastas and pork plates will be reduced to between €4.50 and €6.50 to help people during the current economic climate.
Seven is the ideal place for a romantic dinner on a summer night, for a girls’ cocktail night out or for a guys’ gathering for beers in a calm and peaceful setting.
