Search for missing guardsman to continue on Wednesday

A land, sea, and air search failed to locate a missing army captain and was called off for the night, to resume on Wednesday morning.
Father of two Michalis Stavrou, 33, went missing on Tuesday morning.
Stavrou is from Yeroskipou but was serving in Nicosia.
His abandoned car was found by a tourist doors open and keys still in the ignition near the Ayios Georgios Peyias sea area in the morning.
The tourist contacted police who established the identity of the owner. They searched the immediate area but found no trace of the 33-year-old, while his friends reportedly did not know where he might be.
Police described Stavrou as 1.70m tall with brown hair and green eyes. He was wearing his army uniform. Anyone with information should call the police hotline 1460.
