Youths hurt in car crash

Two 19-year-olds were seriously injured on Tuesday night after the car they were in collided head-on with another vehicle in the village of Pervolia.
Their injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
The 10pm crash was the result of the 19-year-old trying to overtake, police said.
The two teenagers suffered serious injuries, police said, while the driver of the other car was slightly hurt.
All three were rushed to Larnaca hospital where one of the 19-year-olds – the driver – was found to have a ruptured spleen and was taken to surgery.
His passenger sustained spinal injuries and was kept for observation while the driver of the other car received first aid and was later discharged.
