Limassol offers weddings on Enaerios Pier

THE LIMASSOL Municipality is organising a ‘showcase’ civil wedding ceremony on the Enaerios Pier by the sea tomorrow at 6pm.

The municipality is keen to show off the coastal city’s attractiveness as the perfect setting for wedding planners.

According to a municipality press release, tomorrow’s wedding will be accompanied by candlelight, saxophone and the sea. The couple from Russia will arrive at Enaerios in a classic antique Rolls Royce, walk to the pier while sounding the wedding march where the Deputy Mayor of Limassol will await them behind a flower-decorated arch.

“The municipality offers new innovative ideas and options that combine romance and quality, for the most special day of a couple’s life,” said the press release.

The local authority offers a wide range of tailor-made options and themes regarding the ceremony itself and decoration, with couples able to choose from “older beautiful decades”, retro ornaments, antiques, and even rock’n’roll.

Couples also have the option of getting married in the gardens of the medieval castle, the municipal gallery, the gardens of the city’s Historical Archive, the municipal cultural centre Panos Solomonides, the Fytideio Athletic Center GSO and even the recently renovated zoo.
