Piglets and puppies killed in farm fire

A FIRE at livestock premises in the Tremithousa area of Paphos killed a sow and her 14 piglets as well as a wolfhound mother and her seven puppies, police said. The building was completely destroyed by the fire and investigations indicate the material it was made from caused the fire to spread so quickly. Firefighters arrived on the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze. Police ruled out the possibility of arson.
