Fisherman to go on trial in north

THE 42-YEAR-OLD Greek Cypriot man who was arrested in the north on Saturday for fishing in a military zone in the Limnitis area will be brought to trial today or tomorrow.

The confusion about the date of the trial is due to unreliable information and compliance with the procedures followed by army services in the north, according to the foreign ministry which is handling the matter.

The ministry is continuing to monitor the issue and is in constant communication with the UN.

The 42-year-old is in good health, according to the ministry.
