Free breakfasts

THE Shacolas Group has distributed 177,047 breakfasts to needy primary school children and some secondary school students from early January until the end of the school year in June.

The group prepared the breakfasts with fresh ingredients and delivered them to drop-off points in Nicosia, Limassol, Paphos and Larnaca. Representatives of the education ministry then delivered the supplies to schools every morning.

With the start of the new school year, the distribution of breakfasts will continue until the end of 2013 as initially announced by the group’s chairman Nicos Shacolas, the group said yesterday.
