FM issues travel advice for Egypt

Τhe foreign ministry is advising Cypriot citizens residing, visiting or intending to travel to Egypt to exercise caution and avoid visiting public areas or areas where mass gatherings occur.

“Cypriot citizens are encouraged to keep abreast of local and international media coverage of events (especially the Internet) and to follow the instructions of the authorities,” the ministry said in a travel advice.

In case of emergency, Cypriot citizens are called to contact the Cyprus Embassy in Cairo or/and the duty officer of the foreign ministry on +357 99 660129 (outside normal working hours).
