Fall death

A 24-year-old British man died from his injuries yesterday after falling from a balcony almost two weeks ago.

On June 21, at around 3am, Daniel Leon Brewster from the United Kingdom was found lying on the pavement outside a private clinic in Paralimni with head injuries.

According to a police spokeswoman, the 24-year-old had attempted to climb up to the balcony of the private clinic. While climbing up, he attempted to grab a large concrete planter on the balcony which fell on him, causing him to fall to the ground.

He was taken to Famagusta hospital by ambulance where he was intubated. Given his critical condition, doctors transferred him to the Nicosia general hospital’s intensive care unit where they determined he had suffered multiple fractures to the left side of his skull.

He died yesterday at 12.30pm.
