Police in Nicosia are investigating a case of arson after a fire destroyed three cars and caused damage to a restaurant during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
According to reports, at around 1.10am a fire engulfed a company car as it was parked behind the 47-year-old owner’s house.
“The fire was extinguished by the fire service after it had spread to another two vehicles that were parked close by as well as causing damage to a nearby restaurant,” a police statement said.
All three cars were completely destroyed by the blaze, police said.
Initial examinations indicate the fire was a result of arson.
