Motorcyclist critical after crash

A 32-year-old man is in a critical condition after the motorbike he was riding was hit by a car in Limassol around 3am on Friday.

According to reports, a car being driven by a woman, 18, along with two passengers, aged 18 and 17, collided with the motorbike the man was riding.

The car passengers and the 32-year-old were taken to Limassol general hospital but due to the severity of the man’s injuries he was later taken to Nicosia general hospital. He suffered severe head and lung injuries, police said.

The 17-year-old passenger and the 18-year-old driver were seriously hurt and held for precautionary reasons while the 18-year-old passenger was taken to a private clinic in Limassol where she was given first aid and released.

The 32-year-old is in a critical condition despite wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Limassol traffic police is investigating the cause of the accident.
