Remand for stolen kitchen appliances

A 52-YEAR-OLD man was remanded for four days on Friday in connection with the alleged possession of stolen kitchen appliances.

The suspect was arrested on Thursday in the Peyia area in Paphos when police found a number of kitchen tops, fryers and coffee machines in a storage area belonging to the man.

Police carried out investigations after a tip-off and said they found that the kitchen appliances belonged to hotels and restaurants that had recently been broken into.

A second person connected to the case who has been in trouble with the police in the past is also wanted, the force said.
