Remand for growing 11 cannabis plants

LIMASSOL district court remanded a 44-year-old man for six days on Thursday after he was arrested on Wednesday following a search at his home which yielded a total of eleven cannabis plants, police said.

Officers searched the man’s house and found a total of eleven cannabis plants between 60 and 250 centimetres in height, two grammes of cannabis and some dried out cannabis leaves.

At court, the 44-year-old man claimed he was growing the cannabis for his own use but that claim was rejected by police due to the large amounts found in his home
