Israel energy minister to visit

ISRAELI Energy Minister Silvan Shalom will travel to Cyprus for two days next week to hold talks with Cyprus’ energy and agriculture ministers.

Next Thursday Shalom will meet Energy Minister Giorogs Lakkotrypis and Greece’s Energy Minister Yiannis Maniatis in Nicosia to discuss natural gas and energy within Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

Shalom will then meet Agriculture Minister Nicos Kouyialis on Friday as well as attending the opening ceremony of the desalination plant in Episkopi by President Nicos Anastasiades.
