Man brought to hospital with knife wound

A 20-YEAR-OLD man from the Famagusta district was taken to Larnaca general hospital late on Friday night with what appeared to be knife wounds to the stomach.

According to police, at around 11.30pm on Friday, the man was brought to the hospital by friends of his. On examination, doctors saw that the 20-year-old was suffering internal bleeding, and had sustained a stomach wound, likely caused by a knife. The patient underwent surgery where doctors stitched up the wound.

His condition is considered stable and he is out of danger.

Famagusta CID is investigating the case in cooperation with the authorities at the British bases.
