Investigation into sudden death of 6-year-old

A full investigation will be carried out to establish the reasons behind the sudden death of a six-year-old on Sunday evening in Mosfiloti, police have said.

According to reports, at around 10.30pm on Sunday six-year-old Constantinos Andreou unexpectedly threw up and passed out while he was on the couch with his parents at home.

His parents attempted to resuscitate him but were unable to so they took him to a local doctor in Mosfiloti.

Andreou was then taken to Nicosia general hospital, where despite doctor’s efforts the young boy passed away at 11.30pm.

A post-mortem has been scheduled for Tuesday.
