A minute with Natalia Mavromoustaki Finalist in the Face of the Globe contest

Where do you live?
I live in Paphos with my father.

Best childhood memory?
Visiting Disneyland Paris and a birthday present for my 10th birthday which was a real dolls house that my dad built me in the garden.

Most frequented restaurant and absolute favourite dish? What food would you really turn your nose up to?
Most frequent restaurant I go to is Happy Island which serves traditional Cypriot dishes in Paphos, and my favourite dish is grilled chicken and salad. The only food I would turn my nose up to is rabbit and lamb stew.

What did you have for breakfast?
Activia honey yogurt

Would you class yourself as a day or night person? What’s your idea of the perfect night/day out?
I am definitely a night person, as in the day time it is too hot for me. I enjoy the evening because it is cooler and Paphos is very beautiful at night. A perfect night for me would be dining out a lovely restaurant, followed by a night of dancing in a club playing R&B and house music.

Best book ever read?
The best book I have ever read is the Diary of Anne Frank. I found it extremely interesting to read about the life of a little girl during the 2nd world war and how the family survived in fear everyday.

Favourite film of all time?
My favourite film has to be the pink panther movies with Peter Sellers, no matter how many times I watch them they are still hilarious and he is an excellent actor.

Favorite holiday destination? What’s your dream trip?
The best country I have ever been to is Italy, it is a country full of lovely restaurants, shops and culture. My dream trip would be to visit China, or India as I would like to visit the Social services over their and see how they work.

What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
You can always catch me listening to happy songs that lift your spirits.

What is always in your fridge?
Yogurt and grapes.

Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
My dream house would be a cosy little house with all glass windows all around, wooden floors on the sea front. With a swimming pool, a big garden, and a barbecue.

If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
Their are quite a few people I would pick to go out with for the night, these include my friend Anna who passed away a few years ago, my mum and dad and my boyfriend, because each one of them means the world to me, they are were always there for me and we always have a good time.

If the world is ending in 24 hours what would you do?
I would gather together all my family together and pets and enjoy the last few hours together.

What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear is death, every time I think of it it gives me the chills wondering where I will go and what it will be like.

Tell me a joke…
Sorry I don’t know any jokes I am useless at remembering them haha
