Lady’s Mile road to be closed for three months

The Public Works Department of the Republic is to commence work for the construction of a sewage culvert box to facilitate the drainage of rain water into the sea, the British bases said on Thursday.

To facilitate these works, the part of the Lady’s Mile road from the Limassol New port up to the Zakaki football ground will remain closed for all traffic from Friday September 13  until Friday December 6.

Traffic will be diverted through a side track road which runs parallel to the East. Directional traffic signs for the road closure will be in place.

Road users are requested to comply with all police directions and or directional traffic signs placed for the road closure.

Anyone who ignores the signs commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a term of imprisonment of up to two years or a fine of €1,708, or both, an announcement said.
