Knuckle dusters used to rob kiosk owner

Around €2,000 in cash, mobile phone SIM cards and scratch-and-win lottery tickets valued at around €700 were stolen from a 56-year-old man who was returning home at around 2.30am on Tuesday in Aradippou, police said.
According to reports, the 56-year-old, who owns a chain of kiosks, was attacked by two men who punched him using knuckledusters and sprayed him with a harmful spray.
The assailants managed to take the 56-year-old’s briefcase which contained €2,000 in cash, SIM cards worth €500 and scratch-and-win lottery tickets valued at €197.
The kiosk owner was taken to Larnaca General Hospital where he was held for precautionary reasons. He was unable to give a description of his attackers to police.
