Police arrest bank robber

 Police have detained a man suspected of robbing a Limassol district co-operative bank at knifepoint on Friday morning, reports said.

The man, who allegedly threatened the Omodos co-op employee with a knife, was chased by police patrol that was in the area for an unrelated matter, reports said.

He was arrested in a field and the money was recovered.

The amount stolen was not immediately known.
