Motorcyclist dies in accident

A 24-year-old-man was killed in Nicosia on Saturday after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed.

Constantinos Saridis, a Nicosia resident, was reportedly trying to overtake a car from the left side on Demosthenis Severis Avenue, when he lost control of his motorcycle.

The driver of the car, a 43-year-old woman, was submitted to an alcohol test that gave a zero indication.

Saridis was rushed to the Nicosia general hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The woman was arrested — as per standard procedure — pending investigation of the accident.
