Fancy a 10km run on Saturday?

IF YOU fancy a challenge or enjoy watching marathon runners do their thing, why not go over to Nicosia’s Athalassa park on Saturday where FBME bank will be sponsoring the sixth annual Dromeas run, all for a good cause.

Proceeds from the race will go towards raising funds for a children’s neurological wing at Makarios hospital. The marathon starts at the park entrance, near the Nicosia General Hospital roundabout and includes two separate races of 4km and 10km.

Families with toddlers can enjoy other activities such as a face painting booth, yoga and zumba classes for the non-runners, as well as photo ops with Harley Davidson bikes. Register between 7.30am and 9.30am and join the race for just five euros. Registration for the 10km marathon is also available at

In addition to FBME bank, supporters include Ice Power Cold Gel, Becel Pro.Activ and Webarts. The event is under the auspices of the Cyprus Federation of Amateur Sports (KOEAS) and is supported by the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA).
