Man arrested for firing off shotgun

POLICE in Famagusta have arrested a 28-year-old man from Frenaros for allegedly firing his shotgun in a dangerous manner.

According to reports, a 22-year-old man, also from Frenaros, told Dherynia police that shortly after midday on Friday while he was in a field next to his house he saw the 28-year-old get out of his car, holding a shotgun, and fire shots over the 22-year-old’s home.

The 28-year-old was arrested and his home searched. Officers found two shotguns which were sent for forensic testing.

The suspect refused to cooperate with police and denied any wrong doing.
