Paphos cannabis arrest

A 57-YEAR-OLD man was remanded for two days by Paphos District Court on Thursday after more than 20 grammes of cannabis were found in his home.

According to police, at 7.05pm on Wednesday, officers from the drugs squad searched the man’s house on Wednesday and found 13 nylon sachets containing 20 grammes of cannabis and two grammes of cannabis resin.

The search was carried out in the 57-year-old’s presence after police had obtained a search warrant.

He was arrested and held for questioning while the drugs squad continues its investigations into the matter.
