20 tons of iron stolen

SOME 20 tons of iron was stolen from a construction site in Paralimni.

According to the police, a 52-year old contractor reported the theft yesterday saying that about 20 tons of iron was stolen from his construction site between August 25 and November 26. The value of the stolen iron has not yet been determined.

Police suspects that the perpetrators sold the stolen metal to scrap yards.
