Seven officers injured before Oroklini match

Seven police officers were injured Thursday evening during incidents before the Dighenis-APOEL match at the Oroklini Community Stadium.

All of the officers received first aid at Larnaca hospital. The most serious injury involved eight stitches.

A police spokesman said tensions had risen before the start of the match when some fans tried to enter the pitch without tickets and scuffled with officers. No arrests were made yet.
