Teens caught driving illegally

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested during the early hours of Friday after they were caught driving illegally, and for possessing stolen goods, police said.

At around 12.30am officers stopped a vehicle being driven by one of the teens. Two passengers were in the vehicle and after it came to a standstill, one of them ran off, police said.

The driver and remaining passenger, also 16, were nabbed by officers.

The driver had no licence, insurance or the permission of his mother who owns the vehicle.

The car was searched and officers found three CCTV cameras which police believe to be stolen.

Yermasoyia police are searching for the passenger who got away.
