Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, was due on Tuesday to travel to Tel Aviv on an official visit.
During his visit, Kasoulides will be received by the President of Israel, Shimon Peres and will hold separate meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Avigdor Liberman, Minister of Energy Silvan Shalom, and Justice Minister, Tzipi Livni.
Issues on the agenda include, bilateral relations with emphasis on the prospects for further cooperation in the energy sector, the Cyprus problem, the Middle East peace process, developments in the Middle East and the wider southeastern Mediterranean region.
Kasoulides will also meet with the President and members of the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee of the Israeli Parliament, as well as the Head of the Parliamentary Opposition and Head of the Labour Party, Isaac Herzog. He will also visit the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, where he will meet with Patriarch Theophilos III.
On February 20, Kasouldes will travel to Ramallah, where he will hold separate meetings with the Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, and Foreign Minister Riad Malki. He returns home on Friday.
