‘Where are women in the peace process?’

A “PHOTO CHALLENGE” to raise awareness on the lack of representation of women in the Cyprus peace process is being launched today by the Cyprus Community Media Centre (CCMC), to commemorate International Women’s Day.

According to an announcement, the “Where are the Women?” photo competition calls all photographers, both professional and amateur, to submit a photograph that includes a written message.

Organisers ask photographers to address one or both issues; the lack of gender equality in the peace building efforts and the need for a solution that embraces and safeguards gender equality.

The best 10 submissions will be selected by a committee of professionals and exhibited at various places around the island.

Submissions should be made by tweeting the photo tagging @WhereRWomenCY or posting it on the facebook page timeline (CNA)
