Some 300 pairs of sunglasses worth around €20,000 have been stolen from an optician’s in Dherynia.

According to the police the shop owner filed a complaint with Famagusta CID saying that that between March 15 and 17, his shop was broken into and the items stolen.

Police investigations found that the perpetrators had gained entry through the front door by breaking the lock.

The shop did not have an alarm system or video surveillance, and the goods were not insured.
