Man reports €37,000 taken from car

A Larnaca businessman has reported to police that a briefcase containing €37,000 was stolen from the boot of his car between Monday afternoon and 11pm that night.

The businessman said he had left the briefcase in the car at around 3pm on Monday and parked the vehicle behind his restaurant after which he left and went home. When he returned at 11pm he found the money gone. According to police reports, officers found no signs of tampering on the car boot.
