Woman mugged in Larnaca on Easter Sunday

A 28-year-old woman from Larnaca was assaulted and robbed by a gang on Easter Sunday in Aradippou while walking along the street.

The incident happened at around 8pm when a car with five men pulled up alongside her, got out of the vehicle and beat and robbed her, police said.

The assailants stole her mobile phone worth €200. The woman did not immediately report the attack to police but felt unwell on Monday morning and went to the Larnaca general hospital.

She was treated for bruises to the left side of her head and shoulder and also had several abrasions on her left arm.

She was released after being given first aid.
