€60,000 stolen from safe in Paralimni

€60,000 has been stolen from a safe in a house in Paralimni according to the Famagusta police.

According to the police, on Wednesday the 53-year-old owner of the house reported that between April 13 and 23, unknown people had broken into his house and stolen the contents of the safe.
He only became aware of the theft when he went to open the safe on Wednesday to take out some money. He told police the last time he had opened the safe was on April 13.
